No significant association was found between scores on Bortner's measure of Type A personality and self-reported poor driving habits in a sample of 71 college students, either for the 32 men or 39 women. Findings contrast with those reported in 1986 by Perry who measured Type A personality on the Jenkins Activity Survey.
