115 principals, 345 teachers, and 115 media specialists in elementary, middle, and high schools in urban, suburban, and rural Georgia were surveyed to assess statements of the ‘current role’ and ‘should role’ performance of media specialists. Significant differences existed between principals and teachers and between media specialists and teachers only on the ‘should perform’ role statements for media specialists.
