Written estimates of time (5, 10, or 20 sec.) for thinking about Self, Others, and Things activities were obtained from 78 students tested in groups. These indicated type of interpolated activity led to underestimates of 20 sec. spent thinking about Self-related activities relative to estimates made for Things and Others.
