Abstract
Time taken for cars to reach a 100-yd. mark from a standing start at a set of traffic lights at each of four different locations in London was recorded. Observations were made under two conditions: single car or two cars abreast at traffic lights. A coaction effect occurred, with subjects in the two-car condition taking significantly shorter time to travel the 100 yd. Although there was a significant difference for the four locations, no significant interaction was found, which suggests a robust coaction effect.
