Abstract
This study investigated the reliability of the short form of the Bruininks-Oseretsky test and its subtest items with 5-yr.-old children. 32 5-yr.-old children were tested on the short form of the Bruininks-Oseretsky - test. An experienced tester administered the test two times with a 1-wk. interval between tests. Also, 13 children were tested two more times making a total of four test sessions for these children. Although the total test scores produced a relatively strong reliability coefficient, many of the subtest items lacked reliability and most items had low correlations to the total test scores. Additional test development is recommended to produce an adequate test of motor proficiency for 5-yr.-old children.
