Abstract
The Crawford Small Parts Dexterity Test has been widely used to measure manual and fine finger dexterity. Recently, some seemingly minor changes in parts and tooling have been made. In the present study, the “old” and “new” versions of the test were administered to 24 subjects between the ages of 20 and 35 yr. The data indicated that there was no significant difference on the Pins and Collars section but there was a significant difference on the Screws section. These data suggest that the norms of the original version may no longer be appropriate and that new studies of reliability and validity are needed before the new version of the test is disseminated further.
