Abstract
The Stephens-Delys Reinforcement Contingency Interview was administered to 78 subjects, 6 yr., 6 mo. to 7 yr., 6 mo., who were enrolled in “traditional” or “open” educational programs. Scores were categorized by sex, race, economic level, and educational program, and treated by analysis of variance. Scores of boys were somewhat more internal than scores of girls and significant was the interaction of sex, economic level, and educational program. Boys in the average to above average economic level enrolled in the traditional educational program had significantly more internal scores.
