The study investigated the relationship between ratings by 2 groups of 12 students of clinical confidence and self-monitoring behavior observed during the initial videotaped interview with a client seeking psychotherapy. Results supported previous research in regards to the experience of the clinician and the mode of information; however, no significant relationship was found between clinical confidence and self-monitoring behavior.
