Foot size was measured in 7-, 11-, and 15-yr.-old right-handed children (ns = 21, 22, and 19). Significant asymmetries were found in two groups: 15-yr.-old boys (longer right than left feet) and 11-yr.-old girls (longer left than right feet). Among the other age × sex groups, the avenge margins of difference were not significantly different from zero. The results are compared with those reported by Levy and Levy (1978), who found sex-related asymmetries in foot size across a wide age range.
