Negotiator's adherence to a constituency's position in a technical negotiation task was investigated in a 2 (male or female negotiator) × 2 (high or low quality of position) design. Results showed that positions of high and low quality produced differential negotiating behavior, while sex did not produce an effect. Results were discussed in terms of sex differences in influenceability.
