A new instrument for measuring students' sense of humor in a classroom is presented. It is based on the combination of the subjective perception of each student concerning the degree of “sense of humor” each of his peers has. Using a personal frame of reference, each student is asked to note for each peer the sense of humor perceived. By summing the subjective perception, a score for sense of humor is obtained. This score is significantly correlated to other measures of humor.
