The principles of “The Dynamics of Action” (Atkinson & Birch, 1970) were applied to the construction of a new form of thematic apperception test. A cue was designed which can assess the effect of simulated passage of time on the expression of motivation. Data for n Achievement and n Affiliation are reported.
