For a particular class 44 subjects rated their class performance, class enjoyment, and enjoyment of the professor. They also indicated their actual choice of seating in one of four row sectors and one of three column sectors. Correlations supported the hypothesis that students who feel that they are performing well and enjoy the class and professor select seats having high possibilities of visual contact with the instructor.
