In private and in central schools each 60 children 10 to 12 yr. of age were given Dennis' Uses Test. Private school children preferred the Sustentive value whereas central school children scored higher on the Benevolent, Malevolent, and Hedonistic values. Schools differed in socio-economic level and use of punitive measures.
