Abstract
Interscorer, test-retest and split-half reliabilities of the Hindi translation of Dennis' Uses Test were estimated with 180 Indian subjects, varying in academic placement from nursery to college and in age from 5 to 25 yr. The three reliabilities ranged from .97 down to .85, .89 down to .24 and .82 down to .25 respectively. On the basis of these results, the Hindi translation seems useful for group comparisons of children, adolescents and adults in India, except scores on religious value which are of doubtful utility.
