A set of 13 pornographic pictures were presented as stimuli to 10 female Ss. All Ss had normal MMPI profiles. A galvanic skin response instrument was used to record psychophysical responses to the stimulus pictures, and stimuli were rank-ordered by Ss according to how Ss reacted to them. Algebraic averages were computed and plotted on log-log paper. From this plot a power function could be obtained between galvanic skin responses and rank order of these stimuli.
