6 Ss were wakened prior to dream on 3 successive nights and gave estimates of sleep duration. Clock intervals were 60, 30, and 90 min. respectively. While daytime estimation was considerably more accurate, Ss showed systematic differences in sleep time estimation. This suggests that temporal discrimination is still possible even in the absence of stored mentation.
