Abstract
The results obtained from 40 right-handed 10-yr.-old boys on hand efficiency and right-left discrimination tests were compared to the results from 40 left-handed boys of the same age. Relationships between hand efficiency and right-left discrimination were analysed. No significant differences were found between the two groups in either the right-left discrimination test or in the hand-efficiency tests for the preferred hand. However, a significant difference was found between the non-preferred-hand performances of the right-handed and left-handed children on the hand-efficiency tests. No significant relationship was found between hand efficiency and right-left discrimination with these 10-yr.-old boys.
