Abstract
The study was designed to replicate, with modern procedures, early work which purported to demonstrate bilateral transfer of the effects of training on two-point thresholds. Two groups of Ss received practice consisting of 120 stimulations daily for 10 consecutive days. The control group received practice on the preferred arm only, while the experimental group alternated arms. While the initial thresholds of the two groups differed, their final thresholds did not differ significantly, indicating the possibility of efficient bilateral transfer of two-point discrimination.
