African and white children were given photographs of a table-top scene and walked round the table locating the positions from which the photographs had been taken. The task appears to be easily conveyed and scored. African Ss must be much older to perform as well as white 7- to 8-yr.-old Ss; and reasons for this age discrepancy are discussed.
