Abstract
75 Ss from the fifth, seventh, and college grades rated themselves on a motion-sickness questionnaire and then took a modified, author-designed, group version of Witkin's Embedded-figures Test which measures field dependence. The main hypothesis of a positive relation of motion sickness to field dependence was not confirmed. Contrary to much of the literature, no sex/field dependence relations were obtained. However, IQ and developmental levels were significantly related to speed of problem solving.
