Abstract
2 experimental groups (N = 32) of albino rats were reared with one of 2 auditory patterns for 40 days and subsequently tested on their preferences for either their rearing pattern or another pattern. A control group (N = 16) was reared with white noise for 40 days and also tested for preference of the two experimental patterns. Data indicated that rearing with a particular auditory pattern did not significantly increase the preference for this pattern compared to the results of a control group not exposed to this pattern.
