Grade school norms had been developed for the McCreery rhythm and pitch tests on 3,000 children in the public schools of Maywood, Illinois. These have been issued with the instructions for the test since 1937. Harris (1945) investigated the reliability and validity of these tests with 745 public school children in 4 locations. He found reported reliability and validity coefficients that are comparable to those for the Drake, Seashore, and Kwalwasser-Dykema tests.
