18 female Ss generated words in response to a metronome-signal under 3 conditions: baseline, after an interpolated task involving incidental stimuli, and blindfolded. Significant multiple rs were found between field-dependence measures (RFT, EFT and Fig. D) and social as opposed to neutral words, demonstrating the field-dependent Ss' general social orientation.
