This investigation compared the visual dimensions selected by 12 aphasic and 12 normal children in a match-to-sample task. The stimulus dimensions were color, size, orientation, and form. The selection preferences for the four dimensions did not differ significantly in the two groups. Accordingly, the aphasic and normal children were concluded to respond to the experimental task using similar perceptual strategies and nonverbal behavior.
