A survey of the literature indicates that the effect of race on person perception accuracy has been neglected in spite of the fact that studies (e.g., Byrne & McGraw, 1964) have shown that one's perception of others is influenced by race. This study investigated the effect of race and familiarity on perceptual accuracy.
