Two groups of 10 matched 4-yr.-olds were given the task of learning a novel phonetic response with or without a previous period of exposure to the stimulus. The 2 groups were very similar in the level and distribution of their learning, suggesting some mild, tentative support for a servo model of phonetic learning.
