10 South African reports (1958–61) relevant to the Seven Squares Technique (SST) and covering procedure, comparison of normal, prison and psychiatric groups, comparison of literate and illiterate Negro groups, comparison of an illiterate Negro group and a literate White group, are summarized. The present research emphasis is indicated.
