Effects of 2 treatments, traditional physical education and physical activities suggested by Kephart, showed a significant difference in favor of the Kephart activities on measures of motor ability and internal lateral awareness. No significant difference was found between treatments on measures of academic achievement, external lateral awareness, lateral preference, or ability to draw geometric forms.
