7 large-group simulated fallout shelter occupancy tests have been conducted at the University of Georgia during the past 4 yr. These studies included large groups of men, women, and children confined for periods varying from 1 day to 1 wk. This report presents shelteree reaction in terms of post-shelter questionnaire response and in terms of defections, i.e., occupants who left shelter prior to completion of the study.
