A second-order model which takes into account both the main and the interaction effects of the independent variables for movement time was developed using data of Fitts and Petersen (1964). The model shows that movement time is significantly affected by the index of movement difficulty and nonsignificantly affected by stimulus information. In addition, the interaction effect is negligible.
