Matched groups of 56 Hearing-impaired (H-I) and Normal Hearing (N-H) retardates were compared on 10 behavioral variables to ascertain degree and direction of aggressiveness. The H-I group demonstrated significantly higher ratings on the Self-destructive variable while the N-H group was higher on the variable of Attacks Peers. Theoretical and clinical implications are discussed.
