Abstract
This is an evaluation of three stimulus variables (angularity and orientation, brightness contrast, and hue) involved in geometric (diamond-shaped) form reproductions of children between 6 and 14 yr. of age in Grades 1, 2 and 3. Error in orientation of reproduction was of greater magnitude with the form in a diagonal position rather than in a horizontal or vertical position. Brightness contrast at 3 levels of grey showed a significant 3-factor interaction on the size-of-top-angle reproduction, whereas the study of hue showed no significant differences.
