Abstract
A 36-variable test battery consisting of 6 rigidity scales, 16 objective perception tests, 10 personality scales, and 4 college aptitude tests was administered to 100 college males. Using the Centroid method of factor analysis and the Quartimax method of rotation, 11 factors were identified. It was concluded that the rigidity scales cannot be represented by a common rigidity factor and that the trait personality rigidity as measured by such scales is independent of S's performance on objective perception and scholastic aptitude tests.
