An Addendum to a Report of the Appearance in Three Generations of an Atypical Pattern of the Sneezing Reflex

Abstract

This is an addendum to a previous report of an atypical sneeze pattern, primarily double sneezing, in a grandmother, her daughter and her granddaughter. Experimental efforts to alter sneeze reflex patterns by hypnosis and other methods failed. This addendum now reports the same atypical sneeze pattern in the granddaughter's first-born, a son, indicating that the pattern may be inherited but is not sex-linked. Also, another mother and her daughter with a double sneeze pattern are reported, this double sneeze pattern not being present in either the mother's parents or siblings or in her only grandchild.
