Abstract
The Seven-Squares Test (Hector, 1952) is a projective mosaic test of extreme simplicity. S is asked to design a non-representational pattern. There are no standard instructions suitable for all samples. The test was introduced with a view to analyse created patterns on a rigid-flexible-labile scale assuming corresponding personality qualities. Reliability and validity should be investigated with the assistance of S himself. The apperception of the pictorial creation by the creator is considered to be of projective significance. The test material has stimulated experiments and research in a diversity of directions.
