A comparison of scores on the Allport-Vernon-Lindzey Study of Values was made for 130 mathematically-gifted adolescents (WAIS Verbal IQ = 138 ± 8.3, Performance IQ = 125 ± 10.7) and the normative medical school freshmen. The former group are more concerned with theoretical values than with religious and social values.
