Abstract
The apparatus described was designed for the presentation of lifted weights but is adaptable to serial presentation of various tactual and visual stimuli. The apparatus accommodates as many as seven Ss and handles all procedural matters except instruction of Ss. It provides: (1) precise positioning of stimuli before each lift, (2) electronic control of all time intervals, (3) automatic recording of the response to each stimulus, (4) continuous summation of number of correct responses for each S by electric counters, (5) machine-pacing or self-pacing, (6) automatic recording of time used in judging each stimulus, (7) information or misinformation feedback concerning correctness of judgment of any or all stimuli.
