Significant relationships were found between mean difference scores for body satisfaction and mood (rs=|.42 to .54||) for obese women (N = 50) beginning exercise programs for weight loss. No significant relationships were found between self-reported body satisfaction and measures of bodily changes. After replication, implications for theory and treatment were discussed.
