Abstract
The purpose of this article is to critically examine the journey the author took as she navigated her younger brother's sudden accident, and subsequent death. Through the use of reflective autoethnography, she details her brother's accident-related illness and her family's trials as they took care of him for almost 4 years. Furthermore, she offers her inner thoughts as she struggled to balance her life and come to terms with the tragic situation. Findings may help extend the knowledge of the grieving process, death, illness, autoethnographies, and personal narratives.
