This paper is from a panel presentation at the 11th International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry. The panel was titled “Indigenous Methodologies and the Construction of New Critical Qualitative Inquiry.” I have endeavoured to keep the paper as close to how it was presented at the panel using the same question and answer format. The paper questions non-Indigenous researchers taking up Indigenous methodologies and what the role of an ally might be.
