Abstract
This article reflects on the issues and barriers that had to be overcome during a period of four years to implement an effective problem solving business model in the Safer Neighbourhoods programme within the London Borough of Camden. This includes the Problem Solving Approach used and developed by the Partnership Information Unit in Camden to direct and evaluate its local Neighbourhood Policing initiatives. It demonstrates the methodologies, strengths and benefits, as well as the implications for others considering adopting this model.
