For structural design and dynamic performance analysis of a wind turbine, a wind field model is useful to simulate the turbulent wind. Taking the turbulent flow as a stochastic process, a practical turbulent wind field model based on Veers' Fourier synthesis method is presented, and the corresponding numerical algorithm is described. The aerodynamic torque of a 600 kW HAWT is calculated by using the turbulent wind field model and the result is given.
