Abstract
Wind data for the year 2004 was analyzed to evaluate the wind potential of Zhurihe station, which is the windiest region at the Inner Mongolia of China. In the present study, the probability density distributions are derived from time-series data and the wind energy potential of Zhurihe station is evaluated by the Weibull model. The analysis showed that spring months have comparatively high monthly mean wind values. While the summer months of July and August have the smallest monthly mean wind speed values of 3.532 m/s and 3.467 m/s, respectively.
