Abstract
The concept of form is central to the process of architectural creation. In the contemporary conditions where architects enjoy a great formal liberty, by lack of any corpus and the development of powerful tools, it is important to teach science of form in the faculties of architecture. The Ecole d'Architecture de Nantes has developed an original teaching of morphology, based on three axes: theory, simulation by physical and/or numerical models and experimentation on a larger scale. A workshop machine tool and specific teaching materials have been developed in order to give students rapid access to complex models.
