HTA ON CD
Issue 21 of the CD-ROM of HTA monographs appeared in May 2008. This CD-ROM contains the electronic text in Adobe ‘Acrobat’ format of all monographs published by the HTA Programme up to early April 2008. The product has been designed for use with Adobe Reader software (version 7.0.9 provided on the CD-ROM). Issue 22 is planned for early summer 2008. You can order a free copy via the Website (

HTA Clinical Trials
In addition to the standard call for proposals, the HTA has launched a programme of clinical trials. This new programme will fund clinical trials to assess the effectiveness of technologies within the National Health Service, with a focus on clinical decision-making. Researchers are being invited to submit proposals for pragmatic clinical trials of the sort already funded by the Programme, but on topics proposed by the researchers.
