At the request of the Editor, Professor Homer Rahnejat and the publishers, “Modelling and control of an elastic ship-mounted crane using variable-gain model-based controller”, published in Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part K: Journal of Multi-Body Dynamics, 2006, vol. 220, 239--255, DOI: l10.1243/1464419JMBD58 has been retracted. This is due to duplicate publication of the same paper in the Journal of Vibration and Control.
