Abstract
The innovative hybrid ventilator, which is powered by hybrid wind and photovoltaic power, can enhance the ventilation performance of a conventional ventilator, and this has been experimentally assessed. Then, computational fluid dynamics simulations have been applied to estimate the indoor ventilation induced by hybrid ventilators and conventional ventilators for the model factory. The results show that a hybrid ventilator provides approximately four times the exhaust capacity of a conventional ventilator. Installing a hybrid ventilator in the central position on a slanted rooftop is highly recommended for factory ventilation need.
