Abstract
One of the difficult tasks in axial flow pump design is the elaborate manner of predicting its correct dimensions. As more test data are accumulated, it depends upon the skill of the designer to discern the effects of these several variables, leading to the optimum hydraulic performance. In an attempt to contribute to saving time spent on determining the basic dimensions for an axial flow pump, a graphical method is proposed to assist in the preliminary determination of these dimensions.
