A case of severe decalcification following fixed orthodontic therapy is used to illustrate how the Ultrasonic Instrument and the Premade Positioner may help treat the aesthetic problem. The use of the Orthodontic Positioner to concurrently close spaces and to treat both the gingival hypertrophy and decalcification is described in the same case.
Some newer solutions to the decalcification problem are discussed.
